The big “C” virus hit our home and I am so thankful I was prepared. I’ve been bombarded with questions about what to have ready in case it comes your way so I created this blog post to help anyone and everyone. My intention with this blog post is to share our story and what worked for us. I’m not a doctor and this is not medical advice.
Hospital protocols do not seem to be working and it’s a bit scary. After watching so many video testimonials on horror stories in the ICU and protocols that aren’t working; I was recommended this video about a protocol that did work in 3 days in the ICU and also researching more about what is really going on so that you can make better and informed decisions and protect your family and yourself. I watched this video with Dr. Bryan Ardis and Allison Lundeen’s story about the horrors of what can happen in the hospital under the current protocols and it was very helpful information and presents questions that need to be answered.
I know healthcare workers are trying their best but they are held to protocols they are given and I do believe it’s the protocols that are the problem. For my family, I wanted to avoid the hospital at all cost and I did massive research to prepare and stock my home with what we would need.
My Intention of Sharing
My hope is that this post spreads awareness of how to stay out of the hospital and recover at home. The key to success is having a protocol in place with the tools that you need if the virus strikes.
I believe everyone needs to have a plan of what they will do if Co-d hits their home. Going on a vent is not a game plan. The risk of death becomes very high at that point. Even when patients come off a vent, it’s a long recovery. I was aware that the CDC and FDA are not very proactive on treatments for this bug. The current standard protocol for COVID-19 positive patients is to isolate at home; avoid dehydration, rest, and take over-the-counter medications for fever, headache, cough, and body pain. Other than that, there is not much support or any treatment given by these organizations for people who contract co-ed.
This is where my passion and my work for the past decade has helped my family tremendously. I focus on preventative healthcare and empowering others on how to live a healthy lifestyle every single day. It’s not just my passion, it’s my life. I stay informed by doctors who are treating patients front line with success and hope then combine my own experiences using natural solutions for the past decade to help our bodies heal.
Knowing this, I was prepared ahead of time and planned to use this protocol from the American Frontline doctors. I trusted them because they were actual doctors treating patients with success all throughout the pandemic. There is a protocol for early outpatient treatments that are working. Yes, this virus can be nasty, but you need to know that there are things that are within your control that you can do to be more prepared. Every choice you make in regards to your health matters. With knowledge, comes power. So let’s dive in!
Our story with the virus
I woke up on a Wednesday with major brain fog and mild pain in my hip area. I immediately started taking N-acetyl cysteine (NAC), just in case. As the day went on the chills set in and I felt dizzy. I told Brandon to start the NAC also. This supplement helps prevent fluid from building up in your lungs — this was a game changer we had it ready. I went to bed early and the next day woke up and felt much better but had a headache. I started the vitamins listed in the protocol and all things below.
By Friday I felt normal, just a little tired and foggy. Before I went to bed that night, I went to smell my essential oils and realized I couldn’t smell them. That’s when I knew it was the rona. I got a text from my friend saying she tested positive and we had been around each other earlier that week. Brandon had chills and body aches by Saturday night. He was also ten days past having his appendix removed, so I was fully obsessing over him and worried! My mom was also in town (lucky her) and she ended up getting covid symptoms Wednesday night.
Overall the virus lasted all of us about 7-12 days. The worst thing for me was this nagging hip pain I had in my sacrum that worsened at night. I had to pop an advil in order to sleep for 7 nights in a row, then it was gone. During the daytime, I was up and moving around the house. I never got chest pain or congestion in my lungs or nose — never even had a cough. I was taking tons of supplements and vitamins listed below to help prevent this. In addition, I was nebulizing colloidal silver or hydroxygen about 3 times a day. On the last night I had a headache and it almost felt like the virus was giving one last push before my body kicked it out!
My Husband’s Experience
Brandon had it the worst. Granted, he had just had surgery so the timing of him getting covid was awful making him more at risk. He never had a fever but felt like he wasn’t able to regulate his body temperature. Brandon had chills and body aches on and off for 12 days straight. He walked around the block daily but often had to lay down during the day because of the chills. The nights were the worst for him but he took Advil and melatonin to help with sleep along with massive supplements during the day. It never went into his lungs and he never got a cough.
He did have some chest heaviness and I checked his oxygen with the pulse ox every few hours! It stayed around 95 but one morning it was 93 so I had him nebulize hydroxygen and it shot right up to 97 in seconds! Having a nebulizer and hydroxgyen to raise oxygen levels at home was amazing. The last thing I wanted to do was have to go to the hospital just to get oxygen because the second you step foot into their space, you go under their protocols. And family members are separated, which I was not about to let happen if I could prevent it.
Brandon was on most of this protocol by Front Line COVID-19 Critical Care Alliance and he was also prescribed iver-ctin and a steroid by a doctor for treatment that he started taking on day 4. I seriously cannot believe the media hype over this drug, it’s ridiculous. This is where you will have to think for yourself and decide what your protocol is if you get sick.
I’m not going to make this post about a drug because that was only a part of what we did but I will say this. Use discernment and do your own research. Iver-ctin was discovered in 1975 and was approved by the FDA to treat parasitic infections in humans.
The two scientists received a Nobel Prize for it and iver-ctin is included in the World Health Organization’s list of essential medicines. It’s also currently being given to every immigrant that enters our country according to the CDC website. Listen to this incredible podcast by Dr. Bret Weinstein (Ph.D) and Dr. Pierre Kory (M.D.) on iver-ctin. It’s very safe for humans when used correctly. And many medical doctors have been prescribing it to their patients with great results over the past year in regard to this virus. Unfortunately, it’s not easy to get in the moment, thanks to the corruption, so it took us a few days, which is why Brandon started on day 4. Figure out your plan now and talk to your doctor or in some cases, find a new one.
My Mother’s Experience
My mom (who is in her 60s) took iver-ctin on day 1 and she did the best! She had very mild symptoms which was amazing! My mom was up and about every single day and only had one day where she felt tired. She did get a cough that has lingered a couple weeks after but the vitamins and medication worked great for her.
Our Kid’s Experience
All of the kids did amazing with this virus. I do believe they all had it since they were majorly exposed but the only one who seemed to show any symptoms was our oldest, Brecken. He complained of his legs hurting a couple nights and said he felt hot but he didn’t have a fever. He’s also going through growing pains so the leg pain could have been from that. Our baby girl Everly Rose had swollen gums but she is also teething. They played like normal every day and never lost their appetites. We gave them zinc and vitamins daily plus we used a ton of essential oils and diffused every night in their rooms.
This virus isn’t fun, and I am not making light of it at all. It attacks your spirit and mindset and I noticed I was definitely more anxious and felt down. I knew it was because of the virus and it would pass but from an emotional standpoint, it can be a battle. The days drag on and that’s annoying too. Looking back I’m so happy we were prepared and that we made the decisions that we did in how to support our bodies. There’s a lot more to this story but I wanted to keep it as simple as possible and help as many as I can.
“Which brands of supplements we use?” is the most frequent question I’ve received about kicking the virus. Below are all of the supplements we used while following this protocol.
Supplements + Medicine for the Virus
The main components we focused on when fighting the virus was clearing the lungs and airways to prevent buildup and blockages, supporting oxygen levels, stopping the multiplication of the virus on a cellular level, and taking in whole food supplements to boost nutrition so our bodies had extra support. Here is what we used and my exact recommendations below.

Lung + Clear Airways
Nebulizer: This was a game changer to clear the airways! I would purchase one now since it can take a few days and you want to have it on hand when you need it. Nebulizers are safe for the whole family to use. This one comes with a separate attachment for kids and we would disinfect them with OnGuard sanitizing mist between uses.
Colloidal silver: We nebulized colloidal silver for the first 4 days to help kill everything in the nose and lungs. We breathed in 3-4 times through the nose and 3-4 times through the lungs three times a day.
NAC: I cannot tell you how important this is to have ready! None of us had any breathing issues whatsoever and the virus never went into our lungs. I didn’t even get congested and only Brandon had some chest heaviness. I swear by NAC and we took this daily. You have to dig a little to get this supplement now but it’s super important to take right away to support your lungs and respiratory function. It’s also great to take for prevention but a must when you’re sick.

You can also add it to colloidal silver. One morning Brandon’s oxygen had dropped to 93 so he nebulized hydroxygen and it shot right up to 97! This was a game changer for us to have on hand for our lungs. My mom and I used this a ton too and none of us had any issues with breathing or oxygen.

Whole food Vitamins
The Lifelong Vitality pack was our foundation every single day for supplementation. I have been taking these whole food supplements for the past 8 years and I swear by them. There are 3 bottles that come in the pack and include your whole food multivitamin, high quality omegas with essential oils, and antioxidants that fight free radicals in your body. During this time Brandon and I took a full dose which is four capsules of each a day.
On top of that healthy foundation, we added extra Vitamin D, C, zinc, and quercetin from the protocol we followed from American Frontline doctors.
I want to explain why zinc and quercetin are essential in your anti-viral protocol. Viruses reproduce in the center of the cells. Zinc needs to be in the center of the cell to help stop viral reproduction. Zinc needs to be pushed into the cells which with an ionophoreto to work effectively in the body. This is a substance that transports particles across the cell wall into the center of the cell where zinc needs to be to impact the immune system. Quercetin is an all-natural zinc ionophore so you have to use them both together. The major benefit is that the quercetin will push the zinc into the center of the cell where zinc needs to be to have an immune system effect.
Zinc: We used Zinc Balance which includes copper because supplemental zinc depletes copper. For our kids we like having options of zinc in liquid form by Mary Ruth’s Organic’s and in gummies by Pure Encapsulations, which are delicious by the way! I typically use the liquid with babies and they will usually open their mouth and take it easily.
Quercetin: We used this quercetin from Designs for Health. Red wine, onions, apples, parsley, and green tea all contain quercetin. Olive oil, grapes, dark cherries, and dark berries such as blueberries, blackberries, and bilberries are high in quercetin, so load up!
Vitamin D: My favorite brand of Vitamin D is Designs for Health. The liquid drops are so easy to give to the kids as well and it tastes great.
Vitamin C: We took 1-2 packets daily of Liposomal Vitamin C and we also used Pure Synergy another great brand. This was added on top of our daily lifelong vitality supplements which do have vitamin c as well because you want to high dose vitamins when you have this active virus to help support your body.
Sleep
Rest and having your body sleep is essential when you’re sick because so much healing takes place when we are sleeping. However, this virus can really disrupt your sleep. You want to have sleep support ready. The protocol calls for melatonin and Brandon used it several nights. In addition, melatonin is known to help your immune system and specifically with a virus so it’s great to take during co-ed. I don’t love the way melatonin works with my body and so I don’t use it. I have always preferred Serenity capsules and Copaiba softgels from doTERRA so I continued with those each night. Adding in a Magnesium supplement will also help as many people are deficient. I love drinking Calm powder at night before bed and here are more sleep tips using essential oils.
doTERRA
We have talked about the importance of getting inside the cells to help stop the duplication of the virus. Do you know what else is capable of getting inside the cells? Pure essential oils. They are super safe and effective and are able to cross through the cell membrane and provide benefits directly to the cell. Anytime we get sick, I use a ton of oils to support our bodies.

I used the Dawn Humidifier with Breathe, Air-X, or Onguard every single night. It’s essential keep your airways from getting dry. I used several essential oils daily.
If you already are an avid user of doTERRA essential oils, make sure that you pull out your Melissa oil. I put one drop on my tongue every hour or two. Then I rubbed Arborvitae, Thyme and Breathe on my chest and used On Guard daily in my diffuser to clear the air. In addition, I took veggie caps of Oregano, Melissa, and Thyme. Last, we took a DDR Prime Softgel and an On Guard Softgel every 3 hours all week long. DDR Prime is fabulous for healthy cell response, repair, and regeneration. It supports cellular apoptosis and reduces oxidative stress to DNA. OnGuard (blend of Clove, Cinnamon, Eucalyptus, Rosemary, and Wild Orange EOs) is a must have in your arsenal for immune function and the Onguard softgels contain melissa and oregano! I applied the oil to my chest and diffused it daily.

Nutrition fighting the Virus
This virus kills your appetite. In the days before it hit, I was starving and even woke up in the middle of the night hungry. Looking back, it was my body preparing for what was to come. About 4 days in I was struggling to eat but knew that nutrition and hydration played a vital role in helping my body heal. So this is what we did that helped a ton.
Protein Smoothies: These were incredible because food lost its appeal but smoothies were very refreshing. I packed the smoothies with protein, greens and superfoods to make it more of a substantial meal. My favorite protein powders we used include doTERRA Protein and Amazing Grass Protein which comes in vanilla or chocolate. I added a scoop of Terra Greens powder to every smoothie with a frozen banana, and a cup of frozen berries with almond or coconut milk. My amazing neighbor dropped off some Smoothie Box packets on my porch. Now I’m obsessed and having them delivered monthly.
In addition, these Noka Superfood Pouches are always a superfood lifesaver to me when I lose my appetite. Also fabulous for kiddos and babies. We took a ton of Immunity Shots that you can usually find at your Whole Foods or grocery store. This is a quick and efficient way to get extra vitamins and herbs into your system when you don’t have an appetite.
Soup: We made heaps of homemade soup with roasted veggies to eat throughout the week. The key is to start with a bone broth. Our favorite is the Kettle and Fire bone broth, which is perfect since you probably won’t feel like making your own while sick. First, heat this up and pop in veggies that are packed with vitamins to support immunity such as broccoli, cauliflower and celery. Add Better than Boullion to your soup to give it a little extra flavor, because your taste may be a little less!
Hydration: Keeping your body hydrated is so important to flush out this virus and make sure you don’t get into trouble. We always drink filtered water out of our Berkey which also removes fluoride and is the best water filter I have found. Clean pure water is essential, do not rely on bottled water as it’s not the cleanest. Instead of gatorade try to grab these Sports Drinks from Whole Foods to increase electrolytes.
Recovery
Iv Therapy: As soon as you’re out of quarantine, I recommend heading to get IV therapy if available in your area. Brandon, my mom, and I all went to Vitality Med Spa in Bluffton, SC. We got a wellness IV that included Zinc, Glutathione, Vitamin C, D, B complex vitamins and B-12, Magnesium, and Calcium straight into our bloodstream so 100%. Vitamin packs are made fresh daily which is important no matter where you go. Glutathione is a super antioxidant that helps protect your body from damage to cells caused by free radicals. As we age we lose it, so it’s important to get back into your system. It also detoxifies your liver.
Gut Health: I did notice a minor change in my gut after the virus and then I read this review on “Gut Microbiome Alterations in COVID-19” from ScienceDirect.
“Accumulating evidence is unveiling that the gut microbiome is broadly altered in COVID-19, including the bacterial microbiome, mycobiome, and virome. Overall, the gut microbial ecological network is significantly weakened and becomes sparse in patients with COVID-19, together with a decrease in gut microbiome diversity.”

Supplements: In recovery I’m taking Viradchem and HM-ET (Heavy Metals – Environmental Toxins) from Cellcore. Self-Care: The focus in recovery has to be on reducing stress and putting your health as a priority so that you completely kick the virus out of your body. The muscles in my body were extremely tight, so I booked a deep tissue massage and applied deep blue oil or lotion daily. A Sauna and epsom salt baths will help with recovery as well. Add 1 cup of Epsom salt, and 2 cups of baking soda and 10 drops of essential oils like eucalyptus, lavender, roman chamomile, serenity, or frankincense. Mix well by moving water around with your hand or foot and add in some fractioned coconut oil if you have it. Soak for 12 minutes up to an hour.
In week 3 I suddenly couldn’t fall asleep before 4:30 am! My intuition feels like it was due to the stress my body experienced and an increase in cortisol levels that my body was trying to work out which affects sleep. If needed, I plan to get my bloodwork checked and a hormone panel.
Overall I feel great and am very thankful to have natural immunity. It is not fun to get sick and this virus is nasty, but we did much better with it because we were prepared and remained calm.

I hope that by sharing our covid story and these resources that you feel more empowered to face this virus with strength. Above all, the goal is to reduce some of the fear that has been attached to co-d. The world is plagued by fear and it’s all I see when I turn on the TV. This is literally the worst thing and sets people up for failure. If this virus hits a fearful mind that has been watching horror stories programmed into it for the past year, the body will often follow the mind. Fear will take you down a very bad road and wreak havoc on your immune system. Keep seeking the truth in all things.
